Keep up with the latest on Bobby Charles' run for Governor. From rising crime to Janet Mills' unaffordable taxes and fees, we're keeping up with it all.

Education Reform is often treated with kid gloves, tiptoed around, especially in states like Maine. Why? The collapse of public education is so complete that marginal steps seem to be all people can imagine. Think bigger. Do it all. Here is how.

God’s plan for each of us is mysterious, and the more quiet among us – not those perpetually quiet, but capable of quiet – know that, as you look back on life, you begin to see God’s hand in everything.

Having spent the better part of a week along Maine’s 611-mile Northern Border, connecting with law enforcement near crossings, my essential readout is that deterrence matters, law enforcement needs our support, officers seldom complain, but without their courage and commitment, we would be overrun.

How do we get back on track when the world throws us off track? I have an idea, and because you are reading this, it may work for you. Just read. Not news, gossip, or text messages. Just pick up a good book, find a corner with light, grab something to sip or nibble, and disappear into it. It works.

Bottom line: Lewiston needs help, focus, dramatic federal and state support, a makeover based on real consequences, hard targets, more law enforcement resources, accountable and effective treatment, and realistic infrastructure. Ugly trends do not reverse themselves; they require leadership. Maine badly needs help.

Imagine a freedom clock. Putting freedom at high noon, you have a constitutional republic, the greatest liberty for one consistent with the greatest for all. Put no freedom at the bottom, six o’clock. Go left to communism or right to fascism, you meet at the bottom, with no freedom. America is at high noon.

The people who celebrate Kirk’s death, the ideological left, are evil. They aim to undermine the Bill of Rights, Christianity, Judaism, and Western Civilization. That is why Charlie Kirk was killed – and why we must stand now. We cannot let those forces silence us. Knowing we must do this is an epiphany for some. But let us gather our strength on Charlie’s example, and take the torch forward.

Bottom line: Drug and human trafficking, plus flow-down crime, are tied to illegal immigration. Public safety is a priority. Illegals victimize Blue State citizens, including Mainers. We need to get them out. To do that, we need new leadership.

Over decades, blessed to run a company for 25 years, manage a $2 billion dollar government operation, spend ten years Naval Intelligence, time in Ronald Reagan’s White House, doing countless oversight investigations, I have stumbled – like the blind pig finding the acorn – on a few rules that work. Here they are.

Bottom line: Either way, if you put your finger in the wind, you will feel a stiff wind building, and that wind is public anxiety over property taxes, which could easily develop into a Category 5 hurricane, a 2026 property tax revolt. Keep watching!

On September 21, Charlie Kirk’s widow did the unthinkable. Days after an assassin took her husband, father of their two young children, she stood before the world and God, and said: “I forgive him,” adding, “I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do.”

Aren’t teachers amazing? A little girl lost her father at four years old. Her father’s name was Robert. She always wondered what life might have been had she not lost him. Still, she knew he was an avid reader and writer. So was her school teacher mother, later a school principal. So she loved reading.

On the campaign trail, you encounter all kinds. Some – the majority – lift your heart, encourage you to “fight the good fight,” let you know your values are theirs, that they are working for you, believe in you, are counting on you. That is heartening. On the other side are those…of whom the poet warns.
Bobby Charles is fighting for the future of Maine—protecting our communities, defending parental rights, and standing up for hardworking families. Your support fuels this movement.
