Keep up with the latest on Bobby Charles' run for Governor. From rising crime to Janet Mills' unaffordable taxes and fees, we're keeping up with it all.

Be prepared. The political left is dying slowly and publicly. Have you noticed? Those desperate to shut the rest of us down, to centralize power, are failing. As they fail, Cold Hearts rise, and violence.

Thomas Jefferson, in 1801, became America’s 3rd president. Exactly 25 years earlier, young Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence. This week exactly – in 1776 – he was seated in the Virginia House of Delegates, age 33. He was a man of courage and friendship.

In a way not seen in recent American history, not advised by anything like historical precedent, but instead politically or ideologically obsessed, Democrats are tilting wildly at things that overwhelming precedent does not support. As Trump stabilizes, well within his legal authority to do so, Democrats destabilize. What comes next?

Sometimes, something stops you, pulls you aside, and you do not know why. On October 3, four years ago, Jerry Adler was buried at age 90, grateful to the end. Jerry was a B-52 navigator. His friend, Dan Bulli, was a B-52 pilot. Dan predeceased Jerry at age 94. These two patriots remind us of what matters, risks taken for America, and how blessed life is. They are forever linked…to Maine.

Welcome to Janet Mills' Maine. Want to hunt? Red tape? Want to fish? Red tape. Want to watch Netflix? Red tape. It ends when I'm Governor.

Bottom line: Either way, if you put your finger in the wind, you will feel a stiff wind building, and that wind is public anxiety over property taxes, which could easily develop into a Category 5 hurricane, a 2026 property tax revolt. Keep watching!

On September 21, Charlie Kirk’s widow did the unthinkable. Days after an assassin took her husband, father of their two young children, she stood before the world and God, and said: “I forgive him,” adding, “I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do.”

Aren’t teachers amazing? A little girl lost her father at four years old. Her father’s name was Robert. She always wondered what life might have been had she not lost him. Still, she knew he was an avid reader and writer. So was her school teacher mother, later a school principal. So she loved reading.

On the campaign trail, you encounter all kinds. Some – the majority – lift your heart, encourage you to “fight the good fight,” let you know your values are theirs, that they are working for you, believe in you, are counting on you. That is heartening. On the other side are those…of whom the poet warns.
