Bobby Charles to Visit “Corruption: The Exhibit” in Bangor Tuesday at 10 A.M. Visit Highlights Call for Accountability and a Break from the Mills–Pingree System in Augusta
BANGOR, Maine — Republican gubernatorial candidate Bobby Charles will visit “Corruption: The Exhibit” tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20, at 10 a.m. at 175 Exchange St., Suite 8, in downtown Bangor.
The visit will spotlight the exhibit’s examination of Hannah Pingree’s political career, family connections, role in the Mills administration, and use of taxpayer money. Through five themed installations and a short documentary, the exhibit presents the organizers’ case that her record reflects a broader pattern of insider influence, wasteful spending, and potential conflicts of interest in Augusta.
For Charles, the central issue is accountability: Maine people deserve to know how their money is spent, whose interests shape government decisions, and whether a new administration would change the system—or simply protect it.
Follow the Connections. Examine the Record.
The walk-through uses a physical family tree, life-size cutouts, prop money, and household settings to make political relationships and government spending tangible. Its five stations examine Pingree’s political network, her relationship with Governor Janet Mills, her taxpayer-funded compensation, energy policy, and Augusta lobbyist contributions.
The exhibit challenges visitors to look beyond campaign promises and scrutinize the people, policies, and financial connections that would carry forward into a Pingree administration.
Maine Needs Change—Not Another Mills Term
Charles is running to challenge the Augusta establishment, not inherit it. His campaign’s message is straightforward: putting a different name on the same political system does not make it a new direction.
Maine families deserve leadership willing to demand answers, examine spending, and fight for what is legal, ethical, and right. Government should work for the people paying the bills—not the insiders exercising power.
Tuesday’s visit will put that contrast front and center: another term of the Mills–Pingree approach or new leadership committed to accountability.
