My first reaction to the “hit piece” on me, a baseless column by Maine Trust papers writer Steve Collins, was to laugh. The guy has no idea who I am, just the GOP’s best chance to be Maine’s next Governor, so he wants to “take me out early.” My second was outrage, how every day Mainers suffer this kind of thing.
In practical terms, as I run to be Maine’s next Governor, it means this: Get practical learning, classic books, and industrial arts back into all Maine schools, whatever people have a passion for. There are too few resources teaching the purpose, how to excel in the trades, and why we should expand them.
Every state – starting with Maine – should have a “department of government efficiency” or DOGE – a permanent, 24/7, oversight operation, much like an oversight committee, state auditor, or inspector general – but always open, eager, and welcoming for whistleblowers. Why?

The Trump Administration – in an act of courage and overdue accountability – is opening what may be the biggest conspiracy investigation since WACO, JFK’s assassination, perhaps ever. They are examining evidence of a grand conspiracy – which may go to a grand jury – involving Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Comey, and second-tier Democrat players.
Be prepared. The political left is dying slowly and publicly. Have you noticed? Those desperate to shut the rest of us down, to centralize power, are failing. As they fail, Cold Hearts rise, and violence.

In a way not seen in recent American history, not advised by anything like historical precedent, but instead politically or ideologically obsessed, Democrats are tilting wildly at things that overwhelming precedent does not support. As Trump stabilizes, well within his legal authority to do so, Democrats destabilize. What comes next?

His friend, Dan Bulli, was a B-52 pilot. Dan predeceased Jerry at age 94. These two patriots remind us of what matters, risks taken for America, and how blessed life is. They are forever linked…to Maine.
