Rep. Poirer’s statement:  "As a conservative Republican representing Skowhegan on the Judiciary Committee, I know the principles required to fight for Maine families. That is why I proudly endorse Bobby Charles for Governor.Right here in my district, the proposed removal of the Kennebec River dams threatens our survival. Shutting down the Shawmut Dam would jeopardize Skowhegan’s water supply and force the closure of the Sappi Somerset paper mill. I have total confidence Bobby will protect our infrastructure, safeguard our water, and keep our mill open. Furthermore, the intense battles we face daily on the Judiciary Committee require a leader of unyielding personal convictions. Bobby’s legal background and steadfast conservative principles give me absolute confidence he will defend the rule of law and deliver the strong leadership Maine needs.”
