Maine Conservative and U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer Vows to defend public safety and the rule of law
LEEDS, Maine — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bobby Charles Responds to Troy Jackson’s Desperate Debate Challenge in Lewiston
Left-wing activist Troy Jackson, desperate to revive his flailing campaign, has invited GOP frontrunner Bobby Charles to a debate in Lewiston focused on ICE and the corrupt “Somali-first politicians” whose policies have contributed to chaos and rising crime. Today, Bobby Charles made it clear he is not backing down.
“I will debate Troy Jackson or any other Democrat anywhere in this state because our side is telling the truth,” Charles said. “Maine is in peril, and has been, because of corruption, crime, failed leadership, and Augusta insiders who have spent years attacking law enforcement instead of supporting them. Maine families know exactly what has happened, and I am not afraid to say it.”
Charles also noted that the details of the debate will be worked out in the future between both campaigns to ensure the conversation actually serves voters rather than becoming a political stunt. He emphasized that his team will engage professionally to make sure any debate is real, serious, and focused on the issues that matter.
“Maine deserves leaders who actually know how to keep communities safe,” Charles said. “I am a former crime fighter, a Naval intelligence veteran, and a small businessman who has worked with law enforcement and fought corruption. Troy Jackson has spent his career protecting the political class.”
Charles said he welcomes the Lewiston debate because it gives voters a clear contrast between Democrats who weakened enforcement and the policies needed to protect Maine families.
“Democrats always scream racism whenever they don’t want to address an issue,” Charles said. “They use labels to shut people up. Their labels don’t work on me. I will always defend the truth, defend our law enforcement officers, and defend the families living with the consequences of failed leadership.”
Charles said Jackson’s attempt to weaponize Lewiston for political points only highlights how out of touch the left has become.
“Troy Jackson can call me every name in the book. None of it will matter,” Charles said. “The people of Lewiston know what actually happened. They know who protected them and who abandoned them. They know who stood with law enforcement and who fought them. If Troy wants to debate that record in Lewiston, I will meet him there.”
Charles said he looks forward to a debate focused on ICE cooperation, corruption, rising crime, public safety, and restoring law enforcement authority across Maine.
“The truth is on our side,” Charles said. “The people of Maine deserve honesty, not political games. I will show up. I will tell the truth. And no smear campaign from desperate Democrats will ever stop me from fighting for this state.”For more information, to volunteer, or to donate, visit www.BobbyForMaine.com.
