AUGUSTA, ME — Republican nominee for Maine Governor Bobby Charles today released a new digital ad, “The Evidence Is Clear: Maine Needs a Change,” arguing that the problems facing Maine families are not a mystery. They are a record.

In the spot, Charles — a former federal official who spent his career investigating corruption — looks at that record and says the evidence is clear: high property taxes, needles in playgrounds, skyrocketing electric bills, and a capital defined by corruption, special favors, and no-bid contracts.

“I spent my career investigating corruption and getting to the bottom of hard questions,” Charles says. “Now I’m looking at the problems facing Maine, and the evidence is clear. Maine deserves accountability.”

On screen, the ad lands on a direct pledge: “I will investigate the fraud.”

Charles says that as governor he will investigate fraud, hold those who have misused taxpayer funds accountable, and fight to bring real change to Maine.
